Ze-cheng Li works across photography, installation, and sculpture, exploring how memory is formed through bodily encounters with space. His practice focuses on fleeting everyday experiences shaped by movement, atmosphere, and perception, investigating how such moments become both personal and collectively resonant.

Wind functions as a central material and conceptual element, activating light and semi-transparent materials to introduce subtle movement and instability. Through photography, personal experiences are recorded and later translated into spatial installations that viewers can physically enter. Translucent fabrics and layered structures create shifting relationships between visibility and obscurity, echoing the fragmentary nature of memory.

Influenced by Yi-Fu Tuan’s ideas on space and place and Byung-Chul Han’s reflections on time and lingering experience, Li approaches memory as an atmospheric and embodied condition rather than a fixed image. His works transform personal observations into immersive environments, using wind, movement, and transparency to explore how individual memories can be shared through physical experience.
